"Louis XV Period Bordeaux Chest Of Drawers, Solid Mahogany, 18th Century"
Very beautiful Bordelaise chest of drawers in solid Cuban mahogany. Pure and typical form of these port chests of drawers. On powerfully carved snail feet, the uprights soar in this curve and counter curve typical of Bordeaux chests of drawers with reserves on the sides. The lower crosspiece receives a sculpture with a shell and a garland of flowers (which is quite rare on a Bordeaux chest of drawers). This chest of drawers opens with two large drawers and two smaller ones. Mahogany top of a single board. Everything is original and natural on this beautiful chest of drawers. The keyholes and the handles are in original gilt bronze. The lower handles were moved inwards a long time ago. The lock at the top right is missing. No key. Louis XV period, mid-18th century around 1750-1760.
