"Embroidered Alsatian Wedding Headdress Bonnet, 18th Century"
Ribbon support cap, encompassing only the back of the head and only the part not hidden by the ribbon is embroidered. This 18th century cap is embroidered with gold thread, velvet thread, chenille and applications of metallic motifs of different colors representing flowers, bunches of grapes and acorns symbols of wealth and prosperity of marriage.
The embroidered part is in silk, the front part is in plumetis printed cotton with application of black velvet lace on the edge.
The interior is in beige (dirty) linen. Presence of ribbon attachments on the outside and inside of the cap.
