"Kora Sword "
Finely curved and grooved sword or korawith a steel blade. Engraved strip of geometric patterns near the ricasso. The kora has the cutting edge on the inner side of the blade terminating in a spreading, fan-shaped point. The guarded hilt comprises of two thick discs, the pommel with a finial formed of diminishing flattened spheres. Copper washers to both hilt and pommel. To be dated late 18 to early 19th century. In good condition with obvious signs of wear and mild pitting overall.
