"Kard Knife "
A very beautiful early 19th century Indian kard knife. The 20cm long tapering blade is forged from (damascus) wootz steel. The silver handle is a wonderful example of Indian craftsmanship. The base of the handle is rimmed with 'Buta' flowers. A popular motif during the Mughal reign. Researching this piece we came across four similar kard knives. Condition is good. A few small dents and a small piece of silver missing.
