19th Cent. Reliquary, First Class Relics St. John Berchmans + Coa Document

This is an exceptional 19th-century reliquary containing 1 St Class relics of:

• Saint John Berchmans – Ex Ossibus Et Toga (from the bone and the clothes of the Saint).

Saint John Berchmans was a Belgian Jesuit scholastic and is revered as a saint in the Catholic Church.

In 1615, the Jesuits opened a college at Mechelen, Belgium and Berchmans was one of the first to enroll. His spiritual model was his fellow Jesuit Aloysius Gonzaga, and he was influenced by the example of the English Jesuit martyrs. Berchmans is the patron saint of altar servers, Jesuit scholastics, and students.

The reliquary comes with its original Certificate of Authenticity (COA), signed and sealed by the Head of Belgium branch of the Society of Jesus Order (Jesuits), His Eminence César Crespelle, ensuring its authenticity and historical significance. This relic offers a unique connection to a figure deeply venerated in Catholic tradition.

Reliquary Details:

• The relic is housed securely under glass, resting on a gold silk background, which emphasizes its sacred purpose.

• At the back of the reliquary, a wax seal remains intact. This wax seal matches the imprint found on the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity, further validating the origin and authenticity of the relic. The seal and document work together as proof of the relic's ecclesiastical approval and genuine lineage.

• The reliquary is encased in a simple but effective monstrance made of ebonized wood
