Reliquary 1 St Class Relic St. Marcellin Champagnat + Wax Seal

This remarkable 20th-century reliquary holds a 1 St Class relic of:

Saint Marcellin Champagnat – Priest & Founder

Founder of the Marist Brothers, a religious congregation of brothers in the Catholic Church devoted to Mary and dedicated to education.

His feast day is 6 June, his death anniversary.

The relic is housed in a simple yet elegant oval silvered brass reliquary surrounded by beautiful Italian filigree. It is securely enclosed beneath its original glass and displays a red silk background, further highlighting the saint's name. the reliquary is from the time of his beatification in the 1950s.

At the back of the reliquary, we find the Episcopal’ s wax seal of a Cardinal holding the threads together and guaranteeing the authenticity of this holy relic.

This piece is in excellent condition for its age, with all elements preserved intact, including the wax seal and accompanying green silk cord.
