"Pair Of Late 18th Century Fashion Prints Enhanced With Color "
Beautiful pair of engravings enhanced with fashionable colors of ladies around 1775-1780. These engravings represent ladies of quality dressed in court dresses called "à la française" and their hair in the famous wigs called "à pouf" in vogue at the time of Marie-Antoinette. Very finely executed. These engravings do not, however, retain their original frames. Note, no alteration on the paper, an old alteration on one of the Marie-Louise due to the old frame. These latter were drawn by Dessais and Le Clerc and engraved by Le Roi and Dupin.
