Cap profusely carved in the shape of a lion's muzzle. Genuine ebony hilt, finely checkered. Straight quillon in the shape of a wolf's head. Ear-pieces decorated with a Minerva's head.
The blade, entirely damask, is decorated at the heel with a golden drapery. It ends in a carp's tongue.
The scabbard is made of leather with two fittings. These are entirely chiseled with scales and symbols of command.
This is a grand luxury weapon, which has retained all of its gilding.
It is in remarkably fresh condition.
