Object description :

"Side Table By Mathieu Matégot, France Circa 1950 "
Side table originally designed as a record holder by French designer Mathieu Matégot, circa 1950. This distinctive piece stands out for its cylindrical tubular metal structure forming the base, combined with Matégot's signature use of white re-lacquered perforated metal. The design's visual lightness is enhanced by the asymmetrical arrangement of its four shelves - some in glass and others in perforated metal - providing a practical yet elegant storage solution. Manufacturer : Mategot, circa 1950. Bibliography: Philippe Jousse and Caroline Mondineu, Mathieu Matégot, Jousse Entreprise Editions, Paris, 2003, model reproduced under reference 33.
