Description:
Antique Alpine wardrobe in fir wood, featuring a solid wood structure and ivory-colored paint with gray details.
Its rounded shape on the sides makes it visually harmonious, while the molded base and spherical feet contribute to giving it stability and lightness.
The most distinctive element is the shaped cymatium, embellished with a central rosette carving and scroll motifs, a typical detail of Alpine production in the 18th-19th century. The doors feature raised panels framed by sinuous moldings, emphasized by a contrasting paint in pale gray, which highlights the geometry and depth of the workmanship.
The paint is oxidized and deteriorated in the areas of greatest wear, but in good general condition.
Inside there are two other small doors, built at a later time. Shelves can be set up inside them. (the two small doors can be removed).
Beautiful wrought iron bushings, original, working but not original lock.
