A relaxing atmosphere emanates from this work in which two women walk in a lush garden where the artist has given an effect of depth and light filtering through the leaves of the trees, playing on a palette dominated by blue, green and yellow. Pastel signed lower right E. Stenne, under double beveled mat, under protective glass, in a speckled gray blue and gold baguette frame. Pastel dimensions 55.5x38.5 cm. Pr Total dimensions, with frame, 77.7x61 cm. Élisabeth Stenne first trained at the Beaux-Arts in Reims, then specialized in painting, during a year at the Beaux-Arts in Caen. Élisabeth Stenne is a diverse artist. With a classical training, where she first painted figurative works, notably in acrylic or oil pastel, she then moved towards the abstract, where she favored oil painting. A great technician, the artist is a colorist. Élisabeth Stenne is a recognized artist, including internationally, after several exhibitions notably in the United States (Atlanta, San Francisco or Boston), she has also exhibited numerous times in France, and is present in several palaces or prestigious places, such as the Carlton in Cannes, the Restaurant de Joël Robuchon in Hong Kong, or the Sofitel in New York or the Georges V in Paris.
