"Painted Silk Embroidery In Tondo, 19th Century"
Tondo representing a lake landscape, early 19th century. This landscape surprises with the variety of materials used. Probably on painted silk, we find embroidery for the trees, flocking for the buildings, church and hamlet, as well as painting for the boat and the character. In the foreground, a paper relief for the plants. The whole is quite charming, in a round frame with a brass circle and its old glass, and has retained very vivid colors. The originality of the techniques used shows the inventiveness of the author and makes this object extremely interesting.
