Glazed ceramic vase, signed Madoura on the base, from the renowned Vallauris workshop. Slender form with a slightly rounded body, featuring two vertical handles integrated into the neck. The deep green glaze, speckled with darker flecks, creates an organic texture characteristic of the atelier’s pieces from the second half of the 20th century.
The Madoura workshop, founded by Suzanne Ramié in Vallauris in 1938, is world-renowned for producing the original ceramics of Pablo Picasso. While this vase was not designed by Picasso, it reflects the same level of formal precision and artisanal quality that made the studio’s reputation.
