"Paul-emile Pissarro (1884-1972)"
"Landscape" Dimensions with frame 48 x 54 cm Paull-Emile Pissarro is the fifth son of Camille Pissarro and Camille Vellay. Raised in an artistic household like his brothers, it seems that he was the most predisposed to painting. Claude Monet, his godfather, gave him lessons in painting and horticulture. He also studied in a private art academy which marks the difference in his path with that of his brothers and sisters who mainly benefited from the tutoring of their father. Paul Emile Pissarro's painting is influenced by Paul Cézanne whom he had met several times in Paris. In the 1920s, he evolved with his artist friends such as Maurice Vlaminck, Kees Van Dongen and Raoul Dufy.
