Gaston Anglade was first a music teacher in Bordeaux before beginning a career as a painter. He was a student of Baudet and Léon Germain Pelouse. Inspired by William Didier-Pouget, he participated in exhibitions of the Société des Artistes Français of which he was a member. Settled in Le Raincy where he received Sunday afternoons, he died there in 1931.
