"Reliquary Medallion Of "paschalis Bayon" With Its Authentic Episcopal Letter, Dated 1752"
Medallion (encolpion) - Reliquary in silver, oval in shape (3.5 x 2.5 cm), housing a very small fragment "ex ossibus" of Saint Paschalis (Pascal) Baylon accompanied by an episcopal document (authentic letter) from an Archbishop, written in Latin: .... "particulam ex sacris ossibus Sancti Paschalis Baylan....", signed and dated: 1752. Pascal, born in 1546 in a poor family in Aragon (Spain) became a shepherd of the sheep. Very religious, he spent hours in prayer, and after having learned to read and write himself using books from the Catholic Church he became a Franciscan. He is venerated as the Patron Saint of Eucharistic works. Good original condition.
