Wool and KURK *Ghom rugs emerged in Iran around 1920-1930 under the impetus of Kashan craftsmen and merchants. Our model perfectly illustrates this tradition with exceptional wool, fine and precise patterns, as well as harmonious colors. It also shares many similarities with Kashan rugs, particularly in the medallions and borders. Made with a tight Persian knot on fine wool, Ghom rugs are distinguished by their specific decorations. This model features a field covered with Herati motifs - The Herati is composed of a flower framed by a diamond, surrounded by four acanthus leaves.
