"Alberto Saccardi, (1883-1956), Alabaster Sculpture, Bust Of A Young Girl, 1900."
Lovely alabaster bust of a young girl executed by Alberto Saccardi (1883-1956), Italian sculptor (Florence). This sculpture is very delicate, it was executed with great care, the face is very beautiful, the hair is particularly well detailed and there is a very fine engraving on the edge of the headdress which imitates lace. This work is signed on the back of the bust. Period 1900, Art Nouveau. Please note: this sculpture will eventually need to be restored. There are some missing pieces and small accidents, notably on the tip of the nose, on the edge of the headdress and bow, as well as some scratches. The effect produced as is, however, remains delightful. Please take a good look at the photos.
