Round earthenware dish with a contoured edge, decorated in the center with a scene representing a Chinese pagoda in a wooded landscape, surrounded by circular fillets and friezes. The border is decorated with a stylized plant garland enhanced with yellow, green, and manganese. Typical of 18th-century Nivernais production, influenced by the then-fashionable oriental aesthetic. Some visible chips of use on the edge.
