Portrait of a Hussar officer (Prussia or Russia) of the Colonel-General Hussar Regiment whose corps commander was the Duke of Orleans, which became the 4th Hussar Regiment in 1792. The officers of this regiment wore framing stripes around the rows of braids (brandenburgs) of the dolman and the pelisse.
