"Set Of Three Chinese Plates. Manufactured In Eastern France, 18th Century. "
Amusing set of three earthenware plates, with Chinese decoration, made at the end of the 18th century in eastern France. Chinese decorations, very fashionable in the second half of the century, were developed both at the Lunéville factory and at Islettes. They are often polychrome. Here, more rarely, the decorative painter has used a shade of green, with a thick line of material, which gives an astonishing life to the subjects. The three plates are in perfect condition, without chips, a perfect enamel, as if freshly out of the oven.
