"18th Century Moustiers , Olerys And Laugier Factory, Monkey Sauceboat"
presenting a fel ( broken and glued by a non professional hand ) the side, we still present this small sauceboat in Moustiers earthenware, made in the second half of the 18th century by the Olerys and Laugier factory, because by the quality of its realization, it remains a magnificent document on the quality of the realizations of this workshop. If it is simply decorated with flowers, the stamped form in imitation of silverware is interesting. The headboards in soft green camaieu are a delight. It is signed L in the o for the fabricants , and a p for the painter Peloquin. This piece can be easily restored, but I present it like this to avoid any doubts to the buyer.
