Aline Mathilde BOISSET was born in Valence in 1884. She died in 1978 in Avignon. Known for her animal paintings, particularly of pet dogs, she exhibited numerous times at the Salon de la Société Lyonnaise des Beaux-Arts from 1920 to 1944. This beautiful pastel depicts three charming puppies in a basket. Aline Boisset is featured in Patrick Pons's "Illustrated Dictionary of Women Painters Who Lived and Exhibited in Lyon."
