Roman period, Mediterranean basin, first century BC, second century AD. 11.5 × 6 cm Provenance: Former auction, Millon Paris Balsam jars, or “unguentaria,” were containers used to store and contain perfumed oils and other aromatic substances. Made of blown glass, they were associated with personal care practices and purification rituals.
