I don't think it is a butter mold, given the size of the small dough pieces... too much work I don't think it is about making small chocolates, Mr. Neuhaus had not yet invented filled chocolates (called pralines) and then Mr. Marcolini would not have invented anything with his miniatures. So, in any case, this object comes from an attic in the Aravis, it is monoxyle and two hundred years old. But the traces of blows on the end of the tool suggest a demolding before baking of small biscuits like small shortbreads...
