" Pair Of 18th Century Chairs, With Regency Period Crossbars, Known As "à La Reine" "
Pair of Regency period chairs, called "à la reine", circa 1700-1730. These chairs are a very rare model of high-backed seats and struts in pure Regency style. The old patina has been preserved and the cover and the tapestry itself have been entirely redone in a traditional way (seed, horsehair trim, etc.). These are classic models from the Regency period with a wide seat which facilitated the use of pannier dresses. Of course, these are salon seats.
