A beautiful Fang hunter's set including crossbow - Central Africa, Gabon, 1st half of the 20th century The set includes a crossbow, a wicker game bag and an animal skin satchel. The crossbow has a superb patina due to use and time. The wood is engraved with geometric symbols. The wood is a little uneven at the end, otherwise in good condition. The game bag has intricate wickerwork. A small hole underneath (visible in the photo). The satchel is made of animal skin and still contains plant fibers that were probably used as firelighters.
