A camera lucida is a prism with which an image of external objects is projected onto a sheet of paper. The artist looks at the image through the prism while following the tip of his pencil to highlight the outline. This device, invented by Wollaston in 1804, has since been greatly improved and can provide great service to artists. Made of nickel-plated copper and eleven lenses with different focal points, the camera is sold in its velvet-lined case with the P. Berville logo. Link to our website
