The front has three drawers and two doors, the one on the left revealing two drawers and the one on the right a large locker locked by a metal button placed under the pedestal, it rests on four arched legs finished with bronze sabots. Bronze fittings and original locks, Louis XV period. It is in veneered wood on all sides, marquetry in rosewood parquetry, violet wood for the frames. The frame is in oak, the flap reveals six drawers and the front has five drawers including two simulated on a door providing access to a chest. The latter is removable after releasing a lock.
The chest includes a cache accessible behind the double wall of its front and located in the double bottom of the chest. Inside the desk there are several secret drawers and therefore we are not in the presence of an ordinary piece of furniture, but undoubtedly a commissioned piece of furniture.
Its attribution to MIGEON is undeniable, from the Louis XV period around 1748. This model of pedestal desk, with drawers and doors in the lower parts and a marquetry of crosspieces on the flap, is characteristic of the works of Pierre II MIGEON. Pierre II MIGEON (1701-1758)
