"Regency Style Crossbow Chest Of Drawers Known As "aux Valets""
Curved Regency style chest of drawers in crossbow shape in oak inlaid with rosewood. Our chest of drawers opens with 4 drawers on the front plus a secret drawer at the top, the 4 drawers are decorated with gilt bronze handles surrounded by two bronze valets also carrying bouquets.
It is further decorated with brass fluting between the drawers and on the edges, it also has gilt bronze decorations on the front feet and at the bottom in the center.
The chest of drawers is inlaid with geometric motifs in rosewood on the drawers and a butterfly wing marquetry on the sides and covered with a thick breccia marble top.
Our chest of drawers is in perfect condition both in terms of varnish and gilding.
