"Sculpture Representing A Hummingbird By Edouard-marcel Sandoz"
This hummingbird was created by Edouard-Marcel Sandoz, all on a red marble base. We find here all the characteristics of this artist, the work is very cubist. Edouard-Marcel Sandoz is a figurative and animal sculptor and a Swiss watercolor painter (1881-1971). He worked with various materials, marble, bronze, ceramics. His style owes much to Art Nouveau. He is particularly interested in animal sculpture, notably fennecs and rabbits of which he made numerous representations. For the condition, note that the bird's beak is deformed, verdigris in several places, a hole on the top of the head, an accident on the marble. The whole remains presentable, but not perfect.
