Oil on hammered copper depicting the Assumption of the Virgin, carried to heaven on clouds surrounded by cherubs. The Virgin, with clasped hands, dressed in red and blue, embodies the moment traditionally celebrated in the Catholic liturgy although not recounted in the Gospels.
