"Atelier Palègre Sandstone Lamp Circa 1970, Painted Silk Lampshade"
Stoneware table lamp made by Jean-Paul and Suzie Brunet in their Atelier Palègre, active in the second half of the 20th century. The base, sculpted from a mass of chamotte stoneware, features a brutalist geometric design in shades ranging from beige to charcoal black, obtained by acid treatment in certain areas. The original lampshade is made of hand-painted silk. Atelier Palègre is known for its animal pieces and decorative objects blending abstraction and naturalism, in a strong artisanal vein.
