This painting, obviously the work of a self-taught artist, is reminiscent of the contemporary works of Le Douanier Rousseau. Painted with great application, detailing the smallest mole and the hairs of the opulent mustache, the artist avoided the difficult exercise of the hands by hiding part of it !
Faced with the incomprehension of those who see me interested in these raw but sincere works, I can only oppose them with the tenderness they arouse...
