"Bronze “young Roman Women” By H. Dumaige – 19th Century"
Bronze with brown patina signed Etienne Henri DUMAIGE (1830-1888), renowned French sculptor who exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1863 to 1886. The artist, a student of J. Feuchère, received honors and medals for his exceptional works. This sculpture represents two young women elegantly dressed in vaporous antique dresses. Wearing ribbons and flowers holding back their wavy hair, they seem to walk slowly, bare feet, their drapery sliding over their feminine curves. One of the young women tilts her head back gracefully while the other holds her wrist and a garland of flowers falling from her hair. The two companions look at each other gently. This bronze is remarkably realistic, particularly thanks to the quality of its details. In this ancient register, the artist was able to convey to us both the sensuality and the beauty of the female body.just cleanWe are at your disposal for any request, please contact us by phone (07 67 01 11 47) or by email (paymal.michel@gmail.com).delivery worldwide.
