Educational models of pine flower cones, attributed to the Osterloh family firm. This was founded in Leipzig around 1880 by the painter Paul Osterloh (1850-1929), his son Alfred Osterloh (1892-1976), botanist and zoologist, developed the business and about 300 models were created by the family firm. The first models were made of papier-mâché, then of plaster.
