Very pretty pair of Louis XV style bergères in natural waxed beech circa 1900. Each seat rests on four arched legs each ending in a volute. The two front legs are richly carved with a shell in the upper part and an acanthus leaf in the lower part, just above the scroll. The two side crosspieces, as well as the front crosspiece of the belt, are heavily fretted and feature magnificent foliage and shell carving. The armrests are covered with a sleeve, the two sides of our seats are in full fabric and reveal the entire armrest support. The backs are flat and low. Dimensions below the standard. The top of the backrest is straight and the entire backrest is covered in fabric. The upholstery is in very good condition, it is firm and very comfortable. The covering fabric is a beautiful patterned satin, note, some visible wear points at the front edge of the seats, see last photos. The whole is decorated with a studded finish; Beautiful manufacture from the early 20th century.
