Kaj Gabriel Franck (1911 in Viipuri, Finland - 1989 in Santorini, Greece) was one of the leading figures in design and art between 1940 and 1980 in Finland.
After graduating from the School of Applied Arts in 1932, Franck was artistic director of the Nuutjärvi Glassworks from 1950 to 1973. He was a professor at the School of Art and Design from 1945 and was its artistic director from 1960 to 1969.
He designed objects for Arabia, Artek, Iittala and the Nuutjärvi Glassworks. Franck is artistic director of the ceramics company Arabia (now part of the Iittala group) and artistic director and teacher at the École supérieure d'Art.
