"Bronze Papal Coat Of Arms Matrix"
Very beautiful gilt bronze matrix representing the coat of arms of Pope Leo IX. Leo IX, nicknamed the "Lorraine Pope", or the "Alsatian Pope", born Bruno von Eguisheim-Dagsburg on June 21, 1002 in an unknown place of Dabo or that of Eguisheim which is still debated, is the 152nd pope of the Catholic Church from February 12, 1049 until his death, on April 19, 1054 in Rome. The coat of arms is that of the Dagsburg Dabo Family, family from which Leo IX came. The printing matrix presented here is an exceptional engraving on a gilt bronze form with a beautiful patina. Matrix probably dated from the end of the 19th century or beginning of the 20th century. Weight: 125 gr
