Elegant box in pomponne, bronze alloy covered with a fine gold leaf, typical of the refinement of precious objects under Louis XV. Adorned on the front with a superb jasper cabochon, it presents a finely engraved chasing work of scrolls and foliage motifs.
This piece is attributed to Turgot and Daumy, active at the end of the 18th century in the Hôtel de Pomponne, famous for the quality of its luxury objects.
