This remarkable 19th-century reliquary holds a 1st Class relic (From the body of the Saint) of:Saint Jean-Marie Baptiste Vianney - The Curé d'ArsThe relic is housed in an impressive yet elegant oval golden reliquary in the shape of a monstrance, with the glass surrounded by sunrays. With an aged patina that enhances its historical charm. It is securely enclosed beneath its original glass and displays a red silk background.At the back of the reliquary, we find the Episcopal’ s wax seal holding the threads together and guaranteeing the authenticity of this holy relic.Saint John Vianney(born Jean-Marie Vianney and later Jean-Marie-Baptiste Vianney; 8 May 1786 – 4 August 1859) was a French Catholic priest often referred to as the Curé d'Ars ("the parish priest of Ars"). He is known for his priestly and pastoral work in his parish in Ars, France, resulting in the radical spiritual transformation of the community and its surroundings.

This piece is in excellent condition for its age, with all elements preserved intact. The coat of arms in the wax seal shows the effect of the pressure from the cover, nevertheless, it still shows that it was approved by a Bishop.Measurements:
