Biedermeier Extending Table, Walnut And Brass Extending Table, Switzerland, Circa 1820

Large Swiss Biedermeier walnut extending dining room table, circa 1820.
Round table with solid walnut top and legs and a walnut veneered apron. Extendable in the middle with a total of four later, 60 cm inset walnut veneer tops. One of which is a framed top. Two additional support legs in the middle. All six legs have brass shoes and casters, making the table easy to move. Original solid beech pull-out mechanism. Recessed handles under the top make it easy to extend the table. Brass hinges at the bottom of the tops ensure better cohesion. Extendable to five different lengths. When fully extended (all four extensions/tops), the table can seat up to 14 people. Restored antique condition with minor signs of wear.
