Animal sculpture in spelter of an elephant and its young by the sculptor Irénée Rochard born in 1906 in Vilefranche-Sur-Saône, in Auvergne Rhône Alpes, and died in Paris in 1984. The sculpture is signed on the black marble terrace. Rochard joined the School of Fine Arts very early on, then the School of Decorative Arts. In 1938 he joined the Society of French Artists and obtained several prizes and distinctions.
