"Rectangular Gold Box, Late 19th Century"
Rectangular hinged 18-carat gold box with two compartments and a frosted mirror. The lid features a small painting centered on an oval from which radiates a bundle of oblique lines. The whole is bordered by a frieze of acanthus leaves alternating on each corner with a larger leaf. The same decoration for the base without the central medallion with a radiation of oblique bundles oriented in a corner of the frame. The sides are striated with sinusoidal bands. On one side a small plant motif in a circle recalls the central medallion.
