Beautifully crafted solid walnut sculpture. 17th century work. 67cm high. Saint Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231) was the daughter of King Andrew II of Hungary and is known for her charity towards the poor and the sick. Elizabeth devoted her life to helping the less fortunate, generously distributing her personal belongings to the needy.
