- Reverse perspective -
An unclothed woman is sitting in a kind of box with a carved top. She holds a light bulb in her hand, as if she has just turned on the light, and may be pointing with her index finger toward the stage, which is also suggested by the curtain being drawn aside. For us, however, the perspective is reversed, and the drawn curtain reveals a view of the woman observing the tragicomedy of the world from her vantage point.
