- The End of Time -
Darkness can be seen through the opening the size of the picture. The clock, whose size corresponds to the dark field, has lost its hands, symbolizing the 'end of time'. A pensive woman sits in front of the clock, her head the size of the clock face. Her skeletal arms and hands anticipate the end of time. Despite her glasses, however, she cannot see anything in the darkness. The leaves in front of her are empty.
