Exceptional complete Knife Set in near mint condition presented in its original box. Set consisting of twelve knives with Vermeil (Gold on Silver) blades, as well as ferrules and bases decorated with palmettes in high relief. Mother-of-pearl handles with inlay of a blank gold medallion. Each blade bears the 2nd Title and guarantee Hallmark (Office No. 81) for Poitiers/Chatellrault 1819-38 the Para-Guillon Cutlery Hallmark. Vermeil blades (thick layer of pink gold) for these fruit knives from the prestigious cutler who practiced in Châtellerault and was among the best cutlers in France at the time. Exceptional Restoration period knife set in excellent condition, of very high quality, complete and presented in its original box (box as is).
