Very beautiful pair of Empire period cassolettes in gilt bronze and silver patina.
This is a high quality model, with the rotating lid, forming on one side a cassolette fretel and on the other a candlestick.
These vases of good dimensions are very decorative.
The silvering is faded but the mercury gilding is of good quality.
On the base, decoration with a lyre and garlands of roses on the sides.
Body decorated with water leaves and palmettes, handles in a cornucopia.
No apparent signature.
Period early 19th century.
