7 African edged weapons, from Henry de Monfreid - Horn of Africa, 1st half of the 20th century Acquired at auction in Sceaux (France) in 2020 by the inheritance of Henry de Monfreid's granddaughter. These weapons belonged to the famous French writer and adventurer Henry de Monfreid (1879-1974). These Fang-style weapons were probably made in the Horn of Africa for trade and exchange with the indigenous populations of the interior.
